Chitradurga Travel Guide

Chitradurga Hill, Chitradurga TourismDistrict head quarters. Famous for its historic fort.

It is place where the heroine Obawa fought against Hyder Ali.

It was ruled by a local cheiftian Madhakari Nayaka.

Davangere :

An industerial town famous for the cloth mills.



Harthara :

Situated on the bank of Tungabhadra river. An ancient temple dedicated to Hrthareshwar is built in Hoysala style.

Vanivilas Sagar Dam :

A Scenic spot ideal for picnics.

Chandravalli :

Situated on the North West foot of the Chitradurga hill. Archaelogical discoveries made in the Ankali Mutt are found here.
